A Simple Electrical Work
These tips we’re going to deliver, are suitable both for the repair of a cable switch, but especially for the assembly of a non-existent in those appliances, usually table lamps, which do not have one.
Importantly, using this switch mounting, location or distance from it within the cable is optional, so we will locate the height most comfortable for us. In turn, while working with current conductor elements may be risky, with a few precautions there will be difficulties.
The first step we must take to mount the cable switch is to unplug the lamp. Then unscrew the screws on the switch, which usually are twofold.
Steps for installing the switch
After the switch has opened place, we must remove the button that is inside, in order to pass under the switch, one of the cables. Subsequently, we make a cut in the rubber that covers the copper wire, and proceed to make an opening about the size of the switch.
After the opening made, we must separate the plastic cover with your fingers, to discover the inner cables. Cut the plastic cover, with the assurance not to cut the cables. Later, we spent some of the wires through the space left by removing the button. After insertion of the cable, replace the button, putting pressure.
Then be cut in half the remaining cable. After cutting the remaining wire to the center, you can removed the plastic cover, being careful not to cut the copper wires, in order to discover those copper wires. These copper wires will be bolted to the heads of the screws switch, which will make switching.
Copper wires should be fixed and subjects under the screw heads. This done, it only remains to replace the other switch cover, screw and all those soon. Connect and verify that the switch works.
